Match report Match between Mavs and Hunters happened on Sunday August 23rd. Because of the overnight rain, the ground was severely affected. Both the teams worked tremendously hard to make the game happen at 11am. Mavs won the toss and decided to bat first. Lucky and pradeep gave a wonderful start. They scored 28 (34) and 33(31) respectively. After the fall of their wickets, hunters were back in the game because of tidy spells from Jagadeesh, pavan and deepak. No one contributed in the mavs middle order except the captain Avinash who made sure mavs reach a good score of 111 in their 20 overs. Vijay and Pavan picked 2 wickets each. Deepak got one wicket. Pick of the bowlers was Jagadeesh with 3 wickets.
Hunters started poorly with Vamsi and Pavan. Both were dismissed early. However Raj kept the score board ticking with a breezy 12. Jagadeesh tried to stabilize the innings in the middle order with 14 (17) runs. However quick fall of the wickets means, kiran the lone hitter was left with a hefty target. Pradeep (9) and Bala (12) supported him in the chase and the game kept swinging back to hunters favor with kiran attacking the bowlers brilliantly and taking calculated risks. The final over was bowled by Krishna and hunters needed 12. However good last couple of balls made sure hunters fell short by 4 runs. Kiran finished not out on 33(28). Pradeesh took 2 wickets and Avinash got a wicket. Pick of the bowlers was Naveen with 3 wickets. Man of the match Pradeep S for his 33 of 31 deliveries
