Match report First win of the season for LCC ....

Chargers captain Sandeep won the toss and elected to bat. The openers Anburaj and Vinesh could not get off to an explosive start as expected due to some miserly new ball bowling by the LCC opening bowlers Nandun and Naren. Anburaj was removed without troubling the scorers by Nandun in the third over. On the other end Vinesh was going along slowly and he was joined by Sandeep. Sandeep started his account by hitting a couple of boundaries through the off side. But it was not easy for the sizzling Sandeep to break free this time with some accurate bowling from LCC. He was caught LBW by the "Torpedo of Nebraska" Gowtham. And then Vinesh immediately followed his captain to the dressing room after trying hard to stabilize Chargers innings. Gowtham again got into action with an accurate throw after some sloppy fielding where Sudhir caught Vinesh just short of the crease. Prapunja and Chandu built a little partnership till Prapunja was caught by Nipu off the bowling of Ruchira. Eventually the Chargers managed to put up a score of 103 with Chandu edging the ball to the third man boundary for four. Srinivasan, Rghav, Ruchira and Gowtham did some accurate bowling to make life harder for Chargers batsmen.

LCC started their reply with Sudhir and Nipu (who was back in the side after injury). They started off well with Sudhir hitting a couple of his trade mark boundaries through mid wicket. Unfortunately Nipu's leg injury emerged again while trying to take a run. He decided to carry on with a runner. The opening stand was broken by the off spin bowling of Anburaj when Sudhir gave a nick to the keeper attempting a drive through the off side. Nipu was joined by LCC skipper Nandun and he started off with a lofted straight drive to the boundary on the first delivery he faced. But he was dropped on the second ball by the keeper when he gave a nick while attempting a lofted cover drive to a very wide delivery. Both these batsmen carried on till Nippu's accumulation was ended by one of Chandu's good in swinging deliveries, which was chopped on to the stumps. Then Raghav, who was already in the middle bi-running for Nipu, came in to bat. He supported Nandun very well with good rotation of strike while Nandun gave the ball some lusty blows, including an "over the long off" six. Later Raghav scored a coule of boundaries in the thirteenth over to score the winning runs of the match. Nandun was unbeaten on 32 and Raghav on 19 at the end. LCC scored the first win of the season after the upset they had on the first game. Despite of the hammering of LCC there were some decent bowling performances by Chandu, Aditya and Nabeel.
