Match report On a cloudy day with wet outfield, LCC won the toss and elected to bat first. Match was delayed by 15 minutes.
LCC opened their innings with Nipu and Vijay. LCC did not have a good start with Vijay M departing in the first over. Hunters could not make use of wet outfield and gave plenty of extras in the initial overs to keep the scoreboard moving. Vivek joined Nipu but he departed after scoring 7 runs. Gowtham joined Nipu scored fluently in the middle overs. Nipu was bowled by Aditya was scoring a good 34 (41). Naren was bowled by Jagga after scoring 8 (9). Match was even until 17 overs with LCC scoring 87 runs. Prithvi joined Gowtham in the middle looking to accelerate the innings. Prithvi started scoring freely and hit 6 sixes and stayed not out after scoring 76 (37) balls. Gowtham supported him well with 40 (47)*. LCC scored nearly 100 runs in the last 8 overs. The target for Hunters was 188.
Hunters started their innings with Sandeep and Bala. Bala’s (3) stay as crease was short and he was bowled Vivek. Raj’s innings was short, he scored 2(5) and was caught by Danial. Jagadeesh and Sundeep look to keep the runrate going. But Sandeep 19 (18) was caught by Vijay M. Vamshi joined Jagadeesh and they scored freely. Vamsi 11(11) was bowled by Danial and Jagadeesh 7(11) was brilliantly caught by Danial. Hunters lost 4 quick wickets of Vamshi, Jagadeesh, Aditya 0(1), Ganapathy 4(5). Ravi and Kiran played some quiet overs. Kiran scored an aggressive 26 (15) and was caught by Danial. Deepak’s innings was short, he scored 1 (6). Vijay Y joined Ravi for last wickets and Ravi 10 (29) was out LBW of Gowtham. Vijay Y remained Not out scoring 8 (12). Hunters were all out in 20.5 overs.

LCC won them game by 81 runs. Overall, it was a good game on a gloomy day which was played in good spirits

Prithvi was adjudged Man of the Match for his 76 (37).
LCC will play the eliminator-II vs Challengers on 9/19.
