Match report Long awaited season opener for both the teams. Omaha Hunters won the toss and chose to bat. They started off with Sandeep and Deepak. Deepak fell for a low score in the initial overs but Sandeep stayed on to score 24 off 43 balls hitting a big blow once in while. He kept the Mavericks on their toes all the time. But overall the Hunters' batting lineup fell quickly with quite a few run-outs. Omaha Hunters put up a target of 93 in 20 overs. Mavericks started off the chase with Avinash and Sathish who kept the run counter ticking for quite a while. Hunters were successful in breaking up their partnership of 62 as Avinash had to take the long walk back due to a well judged catch by Amit at long-on. Then Mavericks lost 4 wickets in a span of 15 runs but then Anil and Hiren finished off the job in 14.4 overs.
Overall, it was a very well played match by both the teams in good spirits.

Result : Mavericks won by 5 wickets.
