Match report Hunters won the toss and elected to bat on a brighty-sunny day. Hunters started off with Sandeep and Vamsi, however lost their season's highest scorer (Sandeep) early to a devious leg cutter from Bhaskar. Pradeep and Vamsi then little edgily built the innings to 38 runs without loosing another wicket until 8 overs. The match turned in a of span of 3 overs when Hunters lost 4 quick wickets. The conditions seemed scoring 100 would be a herculean task. Anil, Aditya and Raj, however, made sure that the scoreboard ticked regularly by scoring quick singles and 2's. Aditya was the lone contributor of the Hunter's boundary tally. Raj was fluent with his free flowing shots. Ganapathi, Pavan and Rajasekhar in the end made sure that hunters reached a defendable score. Avinash, Bhaskar and Gowri were the pick of the bowlers from Challengers and got 2, 3 and 2 wickets respectively.

Challengers started the chase with Rakshith and Rakesh as opening partners. Rakshith was cheaply bowled by the hunters captain Vijay. Hemanth who arrived next couldn't stay for long. Avinash looked in good form by hitting two quick 4's but was removed by Ganapathi because of great catch held by the safe hands of Anil. Rakesh and Bhaskar tried to steady the innings but the consistent line and length of Hunter's bowling did not let that happen. Final blow to Challengers was met when Pavan bowled-out Bhaskar after some jaffas. Rakesh was the leading score of the game, made 40. Rakesh may be the only reason for Challengers to have victory in their sight for a while. Finally, Challengers had to pave the way for disciplined Hunters. The match was otherwise a closely-fought contest. With this win hunters now move to their next qualifier to try win the trophy later.
