Match report Chargers won the toss and elected to Bat first.

On a cloudy day, with a bit of rain around the game started off on time with both the teams showing up early to the game. Chargers started off with a new opening pair of Dhana and Satish. From Challengers, Anil and Satya bowled a very tight line not allowing the batsmen to break free in the powerplay. Satya trapped Dhana in front of the wickets with a fuller delivery, drawing first blood for Challengers. Gopal came in but was cleaned up with a peach of delivery from Satya that squared him up completely. Abhijith joined in and looked with intent, lofting a good length ball over the mid-on for a lovely boundary. Just when he started looking good, Anil bowled a fuller delivery that took the edge and was caught by Avinash. Chargers were 36/3 in their 5 overs. In came Sandeep, with Chargers in a bit of bother. Satish and Sandeep batted well together, hitting boundaries at regular intervals and kept on rotating the strike. With the interruption of rain they made sure that they did not let the momentum shift to Challengers. Eventually, Satish was run out by Ben not before making a composed 35. Lenin joined Sandeep. They piled on a century stand and posted a commanding total of 211. Sandeep was at his best hitting boundaries at will. He brought up his maiden century for OCA and made a blistering 124(67) six 4's and 9 Sixes. It was the second century of the Heartland Cricket League 2013. Md Nipu scoring a 101 against Chargers early in the season.

In reply, Challengers started off their chase in style with Avinash and Hemanth. They kept scoring at 7 runs an over and were busy running between the wickets. Pradish and Giri bowled a good line but were fairly unlucky. Challengers were sitting well in the drivers seat with 63/0 in 9 overs. In came the magician Dhana and it did not take him too much of time to grab his first wicket. Hemanth was stumped by Abhjit trying to loft Dhana out of the park. Ravi Karri came in but got lucky with Lenin dropping a sitter. Avinash brought up a fighting 50 with five 4's but was sent back by Ravi Kandala having him caught behind. Bhaskar came in and tried going for his trademark slog sweep but was caught at deep square leg by Sandeep Nandagiri. Once, he got out Challengers were never in the chase. Challengers kept on loosing wickets regularly. But, Quintus and Ben made sure that they batted their entire 25 overs. Ravi Kandala bowled a tidy spell and grabbed 3 wickets. In a high scoring game, Dhana bowled well and conceded 5-0-30-2. Sandeep Raju also supported well by maintaining pressure with his immaculate line and length. At the end, Challengers fell short of 57 runs. All in all a great game played in the right spirits.
