Match report UNL played their third game of the season against Citadel at Lincoln Municipal Grounds. The match turned out to be a low scoring thriller. Gowtham elected to bowl after winning the toss.

In a surprise move, Vijay M was handed over the ball to bowl the first over. The move seemed to work like a charm. Vijay M got three wickets in his first over removing Arun, Dinesh and Hemanth for 0. At the end of the first over the score read 1 for the loss of 3 wickets. It required a herculean effort by the other batsmen to reach a respectable total, but that was not to be. Other than Krishna, the rest of the batsmen never got going. Krishna scored 50 runs, and Citadel scored a total of 77 runs for the loss of 10 wickets. Vijay M got 5 wickets to his name, while Apoorva,Vineeth and Prem chipped in with a wicket each.

In reply, chasing 78 to win, UNL were off to a horrible start. Apoorva and Vivek opened the innings for UNL. Arun removed Apoorva off the second ball, followed by the wicket of Naren. The pressure rose as Vineeth was dismissed for 2 runs. Vivek and Gowtham played sensibly, getting the singles and hitting the bad balls. Vivek, Gowtham and Vijay M ensured UNL chased down the runs. Vivek held up one end and scored a gritty 30 runs. Gowtham scored 20 runs, while Vijay M was unbeated on 16. UNL chased down the target with 4 balls to spare.

UNL won the match by 5 wickets and Vijay M was the Man of the Match for his 5 wickets and 16 runs with the bat.
