Match report It was a windy day to start with. Further the ground was little wet due to the overnight rains. LCC won the toss and and had no hesitation to bowl first. We had a perfect start with Vinay bowling a maiden over. Naren also started pretty well on the other end and opened with a wicket. We contained them to 15 runs in the first 4 overs and they lost one wicket. Prem and Anuj started later and also did a wonderful job of containing them. Prem was able to get his inswing deliveries on target and he bowled a very tight line. Titans still had couple of good batsmen Naveen and Arun still to bat. We got Gowtham in the 10th over and he immediately responded with a wicket. Arun then got run out and Titans still had Naveen at the other end. At the end of the 10th over, Titans scored only 50 runs. Naveen slowly started building the innings and with Pravin's help they reached 102 in 20 overs. Vivek bowled 3 overs with his offspin and did a good job for us. Gowtham ended his wonderful spell with 4 wickets. Overall we bowled really well and was backed up by some good fielding. We had couple of close run out calls turned against us.

We started our chase in a good fashion. We scored 27 runs in first 2 overs. Vinay and Dhananjay were really going over the bad balls. Dhananjay got out later which got Vivek to start. Vinay was doing great at the other end sending all the bad balls to the boundaries. Titans got a firm handle of their bowling and started bowling tight overs. They got Vinay, Vivek and Vijay out. Venkat and Bharath also got out pretty cheaply. Rampi was given couple of chances and he was starting to get going by scoring a boundary. We needed 36 runs from 6 overs to win. Rampi got out in the very next over and it came to 30 runs of 5 overs. Gowtham and Anuj started a small partnership playing some sensible shots collecting 1's and 2's. It came to 15 runs of the last 2 overs. Gowtham scored 5 of the first 4 balls. Still another 10 runs needed of 8 balls. Anuj then whacked a short pitch ball to the deep wicket region for a huge six. It was not yet over. Anuj again scored the next ball to the boundary with a might sweep which recorded LCC's win. It was a close game but we won at the end due to some tight bowling, fielding and sensible batting.
