Match report The match started on Sunday afternoon between the Hunters and the Chargers. The weather was perfect for a good game of cricket. Hunters were yet to be beaten in the league and were in the top of the league. Chargers elected to bat and they opened the innings with Vinesh and PJ. Just when it looked like they were off to a good start, Rohan bowled exceptionally well and sent both the openers to pavilion. PJ got bowled by Rohan with a score of 4 and Vinesh (9) was caught by Shanmuga with a clever slower delivery. Captain of the Chargers-Sandeep, who has been in a glorious form this season so far along with Aditya Bade and Umesh tried to stabilize the innings. By the end of 10 overs, Chargers had 70 runs on board with 3 wickets down and looked set for a big score. However, Dhana’s clever bowling got both well set batsmen Umesh(8) and Sandeep(28). After that, some good bowling from Rohan, Poore and Dhana got the Chargers all out for 97 in the 18th over with the Hunters clearly on top and looking for their fourth victory of the league and to remain undefeated.

Hunters opened their innings with Satish and Ashish. Chargers had Vijay and Aditya Bade as their opening pair for bowling. Vijay and Aditya bowled superbly in their opening spell without giving any extra runs and Vijay got the wickets of Ashish(2) and Shanmuga (1). Dhana then joined Satish and they looked very confident in the crease. They looked set and were scoring runs freely. Then Chargers captain Sandeep gave the ball to Prapunja, who then got the wicket of well set Satish for 20, courtesy a superb running catch by Aditya Thota at deep square leg. The next batsman Bhaskar opened his innings with a blistering boundary and looked positive. The game was more interesting when leg spinner Umesh got Bhaskar(5) of his first ball with a beautiful catch by wicketkeeper Sami. The game then looked anybody’s with Hunters coming into pressure with quick fall of wickets. Vijay then came back for a second spell and continued his good line by taking the wicket of Abdul(1) caught by PJ. Umesh then got the well set Dhana (16) and Anil (0) with exceptional catching by Vishal and Sandeep. Finally, Prapunja varied his lines and got the wickets of Ramesh, bowled for 8 and Ravi, lbw for 2. In a low scoring thriller, disciplined Chargers got the Hunters all out for 74. All in all a good game of cricket.
