Neb won the toss and elected to field first. Gowtham and Chandu swung the new ball both ways and by the end of 12 overs half the ECC were out scoring 43 runs. Sudhir and Deep got ECC's innings into right track with a patient 29 runs partnership. Amlan chipped in with 13 runs and ECC were all out scoring 149 runs in 27.3 overs. Sudheer top scored for ECC with 66 runs. For Neb, Gowtham picked up 3 wickets and Pradeesh picked up two wickets.

Neb started the chase by loosing its opener Sandeep without any score on the board. Nirmal and Bala had a partnership of 56 runs in 9 overs. Bala was bowled by Sunil after scoring 23 runs. At the drinks break, the match was evenly poised with Neb scoring 75 runs for the loss of 3 wickets. Eventually, NEB won overhauled ECC's 149 by losing 8 wickets with 7 balls to spare. For Neb, Nirmal scored 36 and Pradeesh scored 24. For ECC, Srini picked up 3 wickets and Sudhir picked up 2 wickets.
